Your home’s roof is the first line of defense against wind and weather, so when it’s time for a roof replacement, you need to choose quality products and an experienced contractor who can ensure expert installation.
We start with inspecting the condition of your homes existing shingles, as this allows us to see if there are any existing issues. By walking the roof’s surface, we can get a feel for the condition of the plywood or insulation underneath. Depending on what we find, you may not need a full roof replacement; but just a repair. You can trust that we will discuss the options with you before moving forward with the work.
As you are considering replacing your roof, whether it is from damage or if you just want a new look for your home; be sure to do the following:
Hire a Licensed Contractor
Shelter Construction is fully licensed and insured. We stand behind our work with a 10 Year Workmanship Warranty while using only products that offer you a substantial manufacturer warranty (they differ by company). We encourage you to get multiple bids for your project, and when deciding take into account all aspects of the contract and service. We are also a GAF Factory Certified Contractor. Thus, we can offer you the many benefits GAF has available.
Contract and Permit
Our team will provide you a contract that outlines the entire scope of the project. We will also work with you to obtain any applicable permits for construction.
It is OK to ask your contractor for a copy of their general liability insurance. They are working on your property and you want to be sure that if an accident happens, everything is covered. Shelter Construction is fully insured and happy to provide you, your financial institution or assessor a copy of our insurance.
From start to finish, we take into consideration quality and time. By this time, we know you trust us to install quality products in a timely manner, so your life has minimal disruption. We will also leave your home as clean as when we found it, each day. This means we bring in and take away our dump trailer each day (if requested), look for debris that may have scattered, and cover roof areas and foundation plantings with a tarp as needed. We promise to protect the area around your house to the best of our ability with whatever means we deem necessary.
