Roofing Options

While Shelter Construction specializes in residential roofing, we will work with small commercial businesses throughout the Delaware Shore to replace or repair damaged roofs. We understand that these projects are often complex, however space and height constraints are not an issue for our team.

Because we are a family business, we know what it means to have your name on the business. This means that your space has to be safe and sound for your customers. We take pride in partnering with you to make that happen.

So that we can cover your flat or low sloped roof, we offer two options of roofing.

Single Ply/EPDM

EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane widely used in flat roof buildings in the United States and worldwide. We will also use tapered insulation in our flat roofing systems, as this is what will eliminate ponding or standing water on a membrane when there is not an adequate slope.

2 Ply/Modified Bitumen

This type of roofing includes one or more polymers creating composite sheets consisting of a polymer modified bitumen often reinforced with various types of mats or films and sometimes surfaced with films, foils or mineral granules. offer great flexibility, impact resistance, strength and system compatibility. These are often used for flat roofs.

We offer a Self-Adhered Modified Bitumen Roofing Membrane offered by either GAF or Versico.
